Sources in the tourism department said eight colours would be used in the illumination and a “colour-changer” devise would control the lights.

“The system is called intelligent dynamic lighting. In the first phase, we have set up 50 out-door colour-changing lamps that will change from white to eight different hues,” said Pillai.
