The Colored Museum, which won author George Wolfe a CBS/Foundation Dramatist Guild Playwriting Award, is composed of 11 "museum exhibits" that unflinchingly confront the deeply complex residue of racial hatred, a condition still embedded into the fiber of the 21st Century. The Colored Museum is as meaningful today as when it premiered in 1986.
