Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony and Instructions on Becoming a 21st Century Bodhisattva with Kadam Morten
at Chakrasambara Buddhist Center
According to Buddha, the best thing we can do for others is to become a Bodhisattva, someone striving for enlightenment in order to free others from suffering. During this day workshop Kadam Morten will explain how to begin to develop the special qualities of a Bodhisattva. He will then grant the Bodhisattva Vow in a beautiful and inspiring ceremony, during which we express our intention gradually to become such a compassionate warrior. Each person takes the vow at his or her own level. The vow contains gentle guidelines designed to help us manifest the compassion and wisdom of enlightenment in this world. In the afternoon he will explain how to integrate this guiding and instructive vow into our daily life.
Although everyone is welcome, this course is principally aimed at those who have been attending classes regularly - a culminating celebration before Kadam Morten departs for the Summer Festival in England.
