Vintage Theatre presents "The Cider House Rules" September 7 through September 30 at their new location 1468 Dayton St., Aurora 80010. Performances are Friday (Sept 7 only), Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Part One – all performances first weekend; then matinee on Sat/Sun. “The Cider House Rules" is a two-part stage adaptation of the John Irving novel. Spanning eight decades of American life, it tells the story of Dr. Wilbur Larch, founder of the St. Cloud's, Maine orphanage and hospital, and of the complex father-son relationship he develops with the young orphan Homer Wells.
Part One Performances are: Fri Sept 7 @ 7:30, Sat Sept 8 @ 7:30, Sun Sept 9 @ 2:30 – Saturday Sept 15, 22 and 29 @ 2:30 and Sunday Sept 16, 23, and 30 @ 2:30
Part Two: In Other Parts of the World
Leaving St. Cloud's to experience the world beyond the orphanage and Dr. Larch, our Dickensian hero, Homer Wells, discovers that life's joys and sorrows are neither black nor white, and the choices we make determine whether or not we become "the hero of our own lives."
Part Two Performances: – Saturday Sept 15, 22, 29 @ 7:30 and Sunday Sept 16, 23 and 30 @ 7:30.
