The Chicago Bears Brad Maynard Scores Extra Points in Meijer’s Kitchen October 25, 2010

Football season is in full swing and this year the Chicago Bears are giving their fans something to cheer about! Especially Brad Maynard, the Bears punter, who had an amazing game 2 when he scored a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Brad is using the same energy with his cooking skills when he steps into Meijer’s kitchen to prepare the culinary creation – Tuscan Broccoli Raab Pasta. On Monday, October 25, 2010, Maynard and Meijer Healthy Living Advisor Kristen Johnson will create this signature dish for the crowd at the newest Meijer location in Orland Park, located at 15701 71st Court. Brad Maynard will cook up a storm from 4 to 5 p.m. and sign autographs from 5 to 6 p.m. The first 200 people to arrive starting at 3 p.m. at the Orland Park store will receive a wristband that ensures an autograph from the NFL Star.

Maynard is no stranger to working hard, in the kitchen and on the football field. He’s been toiling away in the NFL since 1997 when he was drafted in the third round, which made him one of the highest drafted punters in the modern era of football.
A well-liked guy by his fans, Meijer is thrilled that Brad is spending the day honing his cooking skills to his fans and the Meijer community.
