The Chicago Arts Orchestra presents the third installment of the successful Rediscovered Treasures concert series. Rediscovered Treasures brings back to life works of musical art that have been dormant in Mexican archives for centuries. For years, fortune seekers have uncovered treasures from failed Spanish expeditions and shipwrecks bringing to light the symbols of a fallen empire. In much the same way, musicologists and scholars have rediscovered the music of the Spanish Colonies giving us a peek inside the opulence and grandeur of a time long past.
