The Chiara Quartet Presents Creator/Curator Vol 1 October 17, 2010

This concert is the first of the innovative Chiara Quartet's year-long Creator/Curator series. For this series, the Chiara has commissioned four stellar young composers to write a new work and to curate the concert on which the new work is to be performed, choosing music that illustrates their influences, inspiration, and heritage. The inaugural Creator/Curator is Gabriela Lena Frank. The program she has chosen to accompany her new string quartet Milagros (Miracles) includes Chou Wen-Chung’s Clouds and Alberto Ginastera’s String Quartet No. 1.
