The Catering Queen Co-op Presents:
The Catering Queen
Cocktails, Canapés and Comedy this Christmas Season
The Catering Queen Co-op in association with the mcguffin company is thrilled to announce the return of The Catering Queen, the sold-out hit of the 2006 Toronto Fringe and winner of the highly coveted Audience Choice Award. Featuring a cast with kick-ass Toronto theatre pedigree and directed by Ed Sahely, the show opens November 20th, 2009 at the Tarragon Theatre Extra Space.
You’re invited to Henderson, Tessier, McGuire and Smythe’s annual Christmas cocktail party at George and Buffy Smythe’s gracious Forest Hill home. It’s the catering gig from Hell! Especially for Melanie (an aspiring writer) who suddenly discovers that the ex she is not quite over is a guest, and he’s got a gorgeous new lawyer girlfriend on his arm. One of the other cater-waiters, Timothy hasn’t catered in awhile, but he’s newly single and back trying to make ends meet when he discovers he has to hide from the host. To top it all off, McKinley Catering is running out of the smoked trout pate. But not to worry, Melanie’s in charge and not for nothing is she known as The Catering Queen.
