The Caltech-Occidental Symphony Orchestra Winter Concert February 27, 2011

The Caltech Occidental Symphony Orchestra, directed by Allen Robert Gross, presents its Winter concert on February 26 at 7:30 pm in Thorne Hall at Occidental College and on February 27 at 3:30 pm in Caltech's Ramo Auditorium. Featured will be violinist Misha Raffiee, a freshman at Caltech who also studies violin with Martin Chalifour, concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Misha is one of two winners of this year's Student Concerto Competition. She will be performing Sibelius' Violin Concerto.

Also on the program are Damian Montano's Rhapsody and Scherzo and Brahms’ Symphony No. 2.
