The Buteyko Method is a unique system of breathing reconditioning developed by a Russian respiratory specialist, Professor Konstantin Buteyko, based on his discovery (1952) that the major and underlying cause of many seemingly completely different disorders is an incorrect breathing pattern - over-breathing or, in scientific terms, hyperventilation syndrome. If you know how to control your breathing, you know how better to control, without medication, your asthma, anxiety, panic attacks, snoring, sleep apnoea, allergies, chronic fatigue, insomnia and depression. Everybody benefits from normal light breathing: if you are sick, you recover; if you are well, you get fitter and stronger. This course will be delivered with a mix of workshop presentation, demonstration and practical breathing exercises. Details of this event may be subject to change.
