The Blackberries are a 5-piece Rock/Pop band known for their eclectic song choices, trademark harmonies and the best rock saxophone this side of the E-Street Band.
Formed in Singapore 3 years ago, they’re a veritable United Nations of musicians, featuring Shanghai’s answer to Dolores O’Riordan of The Cranberries on vocals Berry Ni, and four lucky lads who get to play along with her – True Brit Mike Sutcliffe on Drums, ‘Suff Effrican’ Richard Kohler on Guitar & Vocals, fellow Shanghainese Roger “Waters” He on Bass Guitar, and New Zealand’s 67th most famous export, Greg “Lord Saxmonster” Sullivan on Sax, Vocals and pretty much anything else he can get his hands on to play (don’t encourage him!).
They play an eclectic mix of spruced up 80’s, energetic nineties and modern-day classics, always looking out for those one of a kind ‘Oh Yeah!’ tunes that are seldom heard but instantly recognized and loved; they also play a number of Berry & Richard's original songs.
Together they’re the musical equivalent of spending an evening rummaging around a record store pulling out all your favourites tunes.
