Contest Terms & Guidelines

The “BIG STAGE” Singing Competition is a search for vocalists who aren’t afraid of a little heavy competition. Although there are no restrictions regarding a contestant’s skill level or vocal ability, past competitions have had some amazing voices turn out, so BE FOREWARNED!

How Does the Competition Work?
The contest is an on-going Two-Round competition with the weekly winners determined by a combination of both audience votes (including online viewers) and critique judges.
• Round One: 6 consecutive weeks of competition where singers will each perform two songs and compete to win one of the two Weekly Winner spots.
• Round Two: Weekly Winners will have 3 weeks to rest up before they compete in the ROUND TWO FINALS for the $2000 first prize!
• Bonus Round: At the end of the year, the 8 finalists (composed of the $2000 prize winners from each of the year’s eight 6-week competitions) will be brought back to compete for a Grand Prize of $3000.

WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
Each act will receive a FREE DVD copy of their performance, which will be STREAMED LIVE on the internet’s hottest new place for music fanatics and band networking, WAKAZA.
Plain and simple... EXPOSURE! If you have the voice and the determination to share your gift with the world, it’s time to take it to the next level.

WHO IS ALLOWED TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
This competition is not age, race, sexual orientation, or gender, specific.
All musical styles, backgrounds and levels of experience are encouraged to enter.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO ENTER?
To enter the “BIG STAGE” Singing Competition contestants must guarantee a minimum 15 guests that actually purchase a ticket and show up for the performance.
• We recommend you invite family and friends, and interest them in your REQUIRED pre-sale tickets. After all, they’re probably already your biggest support system!

NOTE: Pre-sale Revenue must be turned in NO LATER than day of event. If you understand and agree to the Terms of “The Big Stage” Singing Competition, please complete the following Application and submit it promptly for our response.
Additional Requirements:
• Arrange a meeting with our WAKAZA representative, ASAP, to work on monetizing your talent.
• Visit the venue and pick up entry pass and promotional material.
• Interested applicants MUST fill out the following questions below for consideration!
• Entering the contest is completely free.
