The Big Draw Chicago is a festival that brings Chicagoans together to draw, think, and share. Inspired by the success of the Campaign for Drawing, the UK-based nonprofit that originated the concept in 2000, the Chicago festival will join cities around the world this October in celebrating the power of drawing as a universal tool for self-expression, meaning-making, and communication. The Chicago Cultural Center will invite people to draw individual works on cardboard and build a collaborative sculpture in real time. Additional programming from Busy Beaver Button Co., Doodlebooth, and Inventables will fill the day with even more drawing fun.
