Montreal indie band the Besnard Lakes have only been around since 2003, and yet two of the band’s three albums have been nominated for the Polaris Music Prize, a prestigious Canadian prize that annually rewards the year’s best album. Besnard Lakes will be joined by rocking Nova-Scotia band Wintersleep, a 2008 Juno award (Canada’s Grammy equivalent) nominee.
