Lisa Hammer, MD, IBCLC, UM Dept. of Pediatrics, discusses the benefits of breastfeeding for the infant, mother and family. Her discussion is geared to new/expectant parents, grandparents, and anyone involved in the care of a breastfeeding newborn, and will include milk production, pumping, returning to work while breastfeeding, and local breastfeeding support.
