Very simply, it’s called The Beach Party. But don’t let the basic name fool you; there’s more going on than hustling through the sand at the little beach in Long Island City. This Saturday night Tim Sweeney, host of WNYU's Beats in Space, and a master selector of deep techno and spacey disco, lands in the sand. With residents Justin Carter, Probus and the Brothers' Brothers dropping everything from house to hip hop to funk, everyone will be able to find a reason to dance--as if the weather and the beach weren't enough.
