San Francisco Renaissance Voices (Todd Jolly, Music Director) presents "The Bawdy & The Chaste" the final concert of our 2009 season featuring Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina’s (c1525-1594) Missa Sicut lilium inter spinas[5] with Adriano Banchieri’s (1568-1634) comic Festino nella sera del giovedì grasso, Op. 18, that was originally composed as an entertainment for Fat Tuesday Eve and will be performed as a semi-staged masque. At each Festino performance one lucky audience member will be chosen via raffle to appear with San Francisco Renaissance Voices in a special (non-singing) guest spot as part of the performance!
