The Balmoral School of Piping presents its Inaugural Event, the Balmoral Classic, a weekend of traditional music and culture that will mark Western Pennsylvania as a center of bagpiping excellence. The weekend’s events will be open to the public, and with attendees coming in from all over the tristate area, we are sure it will be an event not to be missed! The very best teenage bagpiping talent in the USA will converge on Mellon Institute in Oakland to compete for the title of US Junior Champion. Three trophies will be presented to the best in each category including the overall champion. The overall winner will also receive a deluxe set of engraved bagpipes donated by McCallum Bagpipes. Other prizes include tuition or scholarships to the Balmoral School.
