This inaugural concert features two of the Niagara Symphony's distinguished principal woodwind players and a brilliant pianist presenting a wide range of spellbinding repertoire. Central to the program will be Four Fables by the Canadian/American composer Karim Al-Zand, an exciting and recent narrative work based on Aesop's animal stories. Original works for flute, clarinet and piano by Saint-Saëns and Florent Schmitt will flank arrangements of popular works from the orchestral and operatic traditions. Featured performers are Doug Miller (flute), Zoltan Kalman (clarinet) and Erika Reiman (piano). Join us on a surprising and absorbing journey!
