Stop Motion Poetry began with brothers Clark, Devin, and Spencer Beggs. After searching for a permanent guitarist, Cory Thompson was added to the band and they began composing new songs as a 4 piece. SMP has developed a diverse catalogue of songs through producer Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, One Republic, Angel Taylor) and also has begun writing with Justin Knox (Sarah Kelley, Elliot Smith, Frank and Derol), and Blue's writing partner Andrew Williams (Five For Fighting).

Some of the band's more notable tracks, "A Walk Outside", "On Your Feet", and "A Vow" made it into independent film "X's and O's." The band's first co-write with Justin Knox has been made into a music video "All My Tomorrows",

In the band's four years of playing live shows they've been fortunate enough to open for acts such as Angel Taylor (Columbia), Bruno Mars (Atlantic), Kevin Hammond (Octone/A&M), and many more.

Currently the band is preparing for the official release of "Jump Right In" produced by Mikal Blue.

Hailing from Oakland CA, Repeater combines their affinity for experimental post punk, with a fervor for intricate and detailed compositions and razor sharp guitar melodies. Drawing from bands such as Wire, Television, and Sonic Youth, the band is not afraid to use their influences to hone in on their favorite moments and eras, and ride out the wave for an entire song.
