The Ash Creek String Band has been entertaining fans of traditional music for over 25 years. Their performances include Appalachian banjo tunes, Celtic ballads, New England fiddle tunes, Southern Gospel harmonies and African freedom songs as well as some contemporary and original songs. Although their primary instruments are much the same as you would find in a bluegrass band, their musical tastes are quite eclectic. All members are singers and love to join in multi-part harmonies.Tin whistles, shakers, rattles, limberjacks and the Cajun triangle are all used to add variety to the tunes. Lots of the songs have singable choruses and everyone is encouraged to join in.
