Clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, described by The
Washington Post as an “artist of indescribable
genius,” brings his unparalleled talent to Mozart’s
only concerto for clarinet, written at the peak of
his compositional abilities—just weeks before the
prodigious composer’s death. Stoltzman is equally
at home playing Copland’s jazzy Clarinet Concerto,
commissioned by the great band leader and
clarinetist Benny Goodman.
