The Art of Tattoo March 29, 2012

Tattoo artist Amy Black of Trademark Tattoo and Lee Anne Chesterfield, VMFA’s Assistant Curator of Ancient American Art, explore the rich connections between tattooing and art. Ms. Black will share her recent work and talk about how art from around the world has inspired her and Dr. Chesterfield will refer to works in the VMFA collection to explain the original meanings behind some tattoo imagery.
