The Art of Fashion Symposium March 9, 2007

'The Art of Fashion,' The Museum at FIT's fifth annual fashion symposium, explores the connections between two creative and glamorous worlds: art and fashion. Scholars and curators from around the world investigate why so many artists, photographers, and fashion designers have been crossing boundaries to create powerful new visual imagery. Going beyond the question "Is fashion art?", they look at icons and iconography, craft and commerce, sex and shopping.
