The Animals at Night create down-tempo electronica that cascades and shimmers as much as it pulsates and throbs. Wavering synth and organ provide the foundations for their songs. Singer Anna Lynne Williams has a crystal clear voice made up of shyness, loneliness and quiet despair. She and her band create a sort of space country sound.
