The Amazing Frozen String Quartet - CD Release Extravaganza April 30, 2008

The Amazing Frozen String Quartet is, at long last, releasing their debut record on April 30th at the Bowery Poetry Club! The Amazing Frozen String Quartet explodes roots music through juxtaposition, unexpected arrangements and irreverence. Taking cues from Americana, bluegrass, noise rock, and American popular song, Avi Fox-Rosen leads this adventuresome foursome with Benjy Fox-Rosen on upright bass and kazoo, Myk Freedman on lap steel, and Joey Weisenberg on mandolin and harmonica. Our good friends at Zeek Magazine are cosponsoring the event, and it also features the hilarious Ukuladies, and Jake Shulman Ment's Klezmer Kakophony!
