The Albuquerque Professional Chapter of The Association for Women in Communications' (AWC) 3rd Annual Poetry Slam April 12, 2006

The Poetry Slam is an entertaining, lively hour of performed poetry with Maresa Thompson, AWC member and poet, returning as moderator. The competing poets this year will include Danny Solis, artistic director and chair of the 2005 Albuquerque National Poetry Slam and 2005 individual poetry slam champion, and Dale Harris, veteran Albuquerque poet and editor of Central Avenue, a monthly poetry journal that sponsors regular open mike readings in Albuquerque.

The luncheon, sponsored by Kelly Higgins, owner of Body Wisdom Pilates, will begin with registration and networking at 11:15 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m., and the program will begin at 12:15 p.m. The fee for the luncheon is $20.00 for AWC members and $25.00 for non-members.
