In Journey of Hope, the African Children’s Choir sings, dances, and brings joy—performing tunes from Africa and around the world.
Founded in 1984 by human rights activist Ray Barnett, the African Children's Choir has performed worldwide, including for Kofi Annan at the UN General Assembly Hall, with Bobby McFerrin in London’s Royal Albert Hall, with Mariah Carey & Sir Paul McCartney at Live 8 and at Nelson Mandela's AIDS awareness concert. The choir represents the beauty, dignity and potential of the African child, bringing hope and joy to everyone they meet. Many of these children could have lost all hope, but have overcome their circumstances and serve as the voices for the millions of suffering children in Africa.
