The Additives invite Mayor Tony Roswarski to their gig... June 18, 2009

The Additives plan to invite Lafayette's Mayor Tony Roswarski to the duo's concert happening at Hunter's Pub Down under on June 18th. The Chicago Indie Folk Pop act is embarking on a 22 state, 40 date summer tour of the United States to promote their new CD entitled Should It End.

"We are trying to get the Mayor of every city we play at this summer to come and support their local independent music scene" said the groups singer / songwriter Joe Ryan. "In return, The Additives will play a future benefit for any Mayor (regardless of party affiliations) that actually comes out and supports their local music. We've done this before and have found that most Mayors have a pretty decent sense of humor, and some actually really like to rock out. How many bands do you know can say that they invited like 40 mayors their summer tour! "

When asked if Mayor Daley has every supported one of the The Additives' shows (The band lives in the Mayor's Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago) The singer replied "No but I think I saw his brother down Halsted Street once!"
