Cento Cultural Aztlan invites you to the 28th Annual Lowrider Festival at Camargo Park (Hwy 90 West & Callaghan exit) on Sunday, April 11, 2010, from 10:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. This one-day, family oriented event features local and regional competitors who creatively enhance their once factory-standard cars and trucks into imaginative mobile works of art, elaborately detailed with gleaming chrome, restored upholstery, hydraulics, and murals that are personal reflections and expressions of each participants. The Low Rider tradition begins at home, Centro Cultural Aztlan is proud to nurture the next generation of Lowriders by developing the Low Rider Custom Bike competitive category. All competitors will complete for cash prizes and trophies in over forty (40) different categories.

In addition to the Car Show, aficionados will be treated to the smooth sounds of Danny Acosta & QVO, Rocky Hernandez & OBG, Soul Struck Movement, Ernie Garibay & Cats Don’t Sleep, Wilbert Beasly, and Joe Jama & The Proof for your dancing pleasure.

Arts, Crafts, Food and Beverage booths will be available as well as the latest car accessories will be available for purchase. We will also provide free Games for the children.

General Admission is $10.00 and children are admitted for free.

Mateo Camargo can be reached by traveling west on Hwy 90 on Callaghan Rd. across the street from the Nelson W. Wolff Baseball Stadium, where the park is located. For more information please contact us at 210-432-1896, M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Centro Cultural Aztlan is a nonprofit Cultural arts organization founded in 1977 to preserve, develop and promote Chicano/Latino Arts and Culture.

All proceeds from this event will ensure the continuation and sustainability of our cultural activities and general operating fund.
