EVENT: Nine historic downtown sites host a free holiday open house, featuring guided tours, living history and reenactments, gift shops, children’s activities, refreshments, carriage rides, music, Snow Bear and special guest appearances. 2011 participating sites include the Valentine Richmond History Center and the Wickham House, the John Marshall House, the Virginia State Capitol, St. Paul’s Church, the Museum and White House of the Confederacy, Monumental Church, the Egyptian Building, the Beers House and St. John’s Church. Complimentary shuttle will run between all sites throughout the afternoon.
COST: FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Complimentary shuttle provided between sites. Refreshments are either complimentary or for purchase, depending upon venue. (Tickets to the Church Hill Holiday House Tour will be available for $15 in advance at www.ChurchHillRichmond.com or for $20 on the day of the event at St. John’s Church.)

PARKING: Free parking is available at the VCU Hospital’s Visitors’ Parking Deck at Leigh & 12th Streets, St. Paul’s Church (entrance on 8th Street), and on-street at St. John’s Church in Church Hill. (Clay Street will be closed between 10th and 11th Streets.)
