AMANDA PEET, ROSIE PEREZ, JULIANNA MARGULIES, ADAM PASCAL, RACHEL DRATCH, ANTHONY MACKIE, TRACIE THOMS, BEN SHENKMAN, ALI SHEEDY, ASHLIE ATKINSON, CHARLOTTE D'AMBOISE and SURPRISE CELEBRITY GUESTS race against the clock in six plays, written, rehearsed, fully-staged, and performed (off-book) within 24 hours.

Greg Kotis (URINETOWN), David Lindsay-Abaire (FUDDY MEERS), Dael Orlandersmith (YELLOWMAN) and Warren Leight (SIDE MAN) will be among those writing. Directors include Indhu Rubasingham, Christopher Ashley and Maria Mileaf.

Proceeds from THE 24 HOUR PLAYS benefit Working Playground, a not-for-profit cultural organization that uses the arts to educate, inspire, and enrich the lives of youth in over 150 underserved New York City schools. Through a dynamic range of programs including playwriting, animated video production, instrument building, science cartooning, and spoken word, Working Playground helps youth develop the creative and analytic
impulses that will serve them as students, professionals and citizens.

100% of the ticket price for this event will go to Working Playground, with a portion devoted to a special "Arts Rescue Program" to help
Katrina-affected children and their families.
