Reading Around the World: Destination Library! Need a vacation, but not sure where to go? Leave the planning and destination to us. The libraries in East County have teamed up to create a week-long itinerary, just for you. And, it’s all free. Begin on Sunday relaxing in the presence of nationally acclaimed author, publisher, and performance poet, Omar Tyree, get your tweens and teens out for African dancing, celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and take a breather, sit back and learn the Eastern art of meditation. Enjoy Australian storycraft, a multicultural fair and a program on world travel - armchair style. Children have fun collecting stamps on their Reading Festival passport and all are invited to enjoy a week-long vacation at the Contra Costa County Library Reading Festival 2009.
