The Young People’s Chorus of Erie will present its Spring Concert and Mother’s Day Expo on Friday, May 6.
YPC Erie’s “Thanks Mom!” performance takes place at 7 p.m. at the Erie Playhouse, 13 West 10th St. The concert will be preceded by a sales exhibition from mom-friendly vendors.
The three choirs of the Young People’s Chorus of Erie—Cantare, Concert Chorus, and Young Men—will perform under the direction of Dr. Jason Bishop and Melissa Heitzenrater-Beichner. YPC Erie, the first affiliate program of the famed Young People’s Chorus of New York City, is a youth outreach program of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.
The Spring Concert and Mother’s Day Expo is sponsored by Penn State Behrend, Lincoln Metal Processing, Pulakos 926 Chocolates, William and Martha Hilbert, and Denise Pekelnicky, an attorney at the Elderkin Law Firm. Tickets are $20 or $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 7 to 12, and free to children under the age of 6. Tickets may be purchased by phoning the YPC Erie office at 814-898-6789, by e-mailing info@ypcerie.org, or at the door, if available.
