This is the second stage of the third year Thai language program and is suitable for those who have completed all levels of Thai up to 301 or who have completed 220 hours of recent face-to-face tuition or equivalent. The course will continue to develop conversation both formally and informally in a variety of situations, such as discussing and expressing opinions about news and current affairs, describing life and work, and exploring more Thai culture and the values of Thai people. Using media from both Thailand and Australia, and passages about Thailand and Thai beliefs, participants will practise reading news headlines, reading comprehension, pronunciation and definitions. Each reading has a new vocabulary list where new and difficult words are introduced. This course will also include writing short summaries and written answers from reading articles.
