Texas Public Radio is celebrating the San Antonio Symphony's Tchaikovsky Festival with an intimate evening of performances that put the composer's diverse range of music on display. Chamber ensemble Camerata San Antonio will play selections from their May 1 Tchaikovsky Festival recital. Alamo Arts Ballet Theatre will delight audiences with selections from Sleeping Beauty, and Austin-based pianist Michael Schneider will showcase the composer's piano works. Trinity University Department of Music Chair Carl Leafstedt will enlighten us on the man behind the music.
"Texas Public Radio Presents: Tchaikovsky" is free to Texas Public Radio members and children under 12. Non-members may make a reservation for a suggested donation of $10. Proceeds benefit Texas Public Radio.
