Texas Discovery Gardens During the State Fair of Texas September 25, 2009

The butterflies are back! Visit us during the State Fair of Texas to discover butterflies, bugs, and botany in the gardens and in our new Butterfly House and Insectarium. Indoor exhibits during the State Fair feature organic fashion, encaustic art, and the science of pollination. Outside, see Monarch butterfly tagging everyday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and a tree carving demonstration Thursday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Texas Discovery Gardens is located within fair grounds. During the State Fair, general fair admission and parking is required for entrance to all Fair Park museums and gardens. We extend our hours during the State Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
