On Monday June 28 people all over the world will be hosting Meetups Everywhere to remotely participate in TEDxOilSpill, which is happening in Washington, DC. Here in San Franciso, Social Media Club and the Sierra Club are joining together to host the local activities at Sierra Club's offices near 2nd and Market.
This is your invitation to join us, and join the rest of the world united in thought and actions for a common purpose. The event will take place at the Wooly Mammoth Theatre in downtown DC, featuring 28 speakers representing the leading thinking about alternative energy, environmentalism and solutions to the current challenges facing the gulf in light of the oil spill. There are a handful of tickets remaining for the live event, but you can watch from home as the main event will be livestreamed all day beginning at 9am EST.
We are seeking 3 speakers to give 5-10 minute presentations, TED style locally in SF to supplement our livestream of Session 2. If you would like to submit yourself for one of the speaking slots, you can do so here.
Our schedule here in San Francisco can be found on the Eventbrite link
