Teddy Bear Day
Bring your favorite Teddy Bear or stuffed animal to The Children’s Museum in Easton on Thursday May 7, from 10:30 AM to 2 PM for a day of “beary” fun activities.
First, have your special bear visit our doctor’s office KIDSCLINIC for a check-up with our Nurse, Sue Male, and her friends. You will receive a special certificate when your teddy receives a clean bill of health or get some T.L.C. to heal their boo-boos. Then, take part in a “Bear Hunt” and sing some Teddy Bear songs with Museum teachers, on the stage of the Museum’s Performance Center.
A highlight of the day is always the Teddy Bear Tea Party. Snack on toast and honey (a bear’s favorite food) and enjoy an elegant party with your favorite bear or stuffed animal. Feel free to come dressed for a tea party in your springtime finest. Formal tea dress, including hat and gloves - is not necessary, but never out of place! Special Teddy Bear crafts, counting and sorting activities and a Bear Scavenger Hunt will round out the day!
Regular Museum admission of $6 per person covers all of the special activities except for the Tea Party. You need to call in advance to reserve a seat at one of three sittings:
11 – 11:30 AM, 12 – 12:30 PM or 1 – 1:30 PM and there is an additional fee of $2.00 for the Tea Party. Tickets for the Tea must be picked up at the Museum ½ hour before your scheduled sitting. Teddy Bear Day is sponsored by our generous friends at Bigelow Tea.
