“5D: The Future of Immersive Design Conference” brings together many of the most innovative and influential designers in film, television, interactive, animation and architecture for the first time on October 4 – 5 at the Carpenter Center on the CSULB Campus.
Produced by the Art Directors Guild (ADG) and the University Art Museum of California State University at Long Beach (CSULB), with Autodesk as the presenting sponsor, the conference features MIT’s Henry Jenkins as the Keynote speaker.
Entertainment professionals and students will experience the very latest on the impact of immersive design through six panels and six sponsored workshops, with such visionary moderators and speakers as director Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean); Mike Benson, executive vice president marketing, ABC Entertainment; John Tarnoff, DreamWorks Animation; Doug Church, Electronic Arts; Paola Antonelli, design curator, The Museum of Modern Art; and production designers Alex McDowell (Minority Report, Watchmen) and Rick Carter (War of the Worlds, Avatar).
