Teal Ribbon 5k Race Kick Off Party April 10, 2008

On Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m., The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation will host the kickoff event for their 4th annual Teal Ribbon 5k Run/Walk! The event will be held at Propper Brothers Furniture in Manayunk as a kickoff to the 5k race on Saturday April 26 at 9 a.m. in Fairmount Park.

The kickoff event will be a pep rally to energize race participants, family and friends, and help to increase race attendance as well. The event will feature Linda Swain of Moms on the Move, along with Kimberly Garrison, Daily News fitness columnist and personal trainer. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the Foundation while enjoying complimentary wine and hors d’ vores.

The event is being held at Propper Brothers Furniture store because a mural, “Sandy’s Dream,” dedicated to the Foundation was painted on the exterior of the store (facing Main Street) in September 2005.
