The three teaching exhibitions are installed to support a range of classes. Chinese and Japanese landscapes, including painted hand scrolls and woodblock prints from the museum's collection, are on view in 'The Cultured Landscape in China and Japan.' A related installation of paintings, 'Expressions of the Literati in Suzhou,' features Suzhou artists of the Ming Dynasty. A selection of Medieval and Renaissance manuscripts from the museum's collection is displayed in 'Illuminated Manuscripts from the Thirteenth through Sixteenth Centuries.' It features fine examples of French, English, German and Italian leaves from books including Bibles, private devotional material and liturgical manuscripts.
