958 Huguenot Trail
Midlothian, Virginia 23112

On Sunday, August 24, 2008, 3:00 - 5:00 PM, the Metro Richmond Area community is proud to host its 1st Annual "Tea for the Cure," at Manakin Episcopal Church, 985 Huguenot Trail, Midlthian, VA, 23113, to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Tables are available for a maximum of 8 people for a cost of $200, or $25.00 per ticket. Participants are encouraged to "decorate" their tables in any theme, and attend "in costume," if desired. For example a 1950's theme may invoke nostalgia dress of "poddle skirts" and pony tails, and even "Elvis memorabilia." Each table is asked to bring their own food (i.e.-for the 1950's-milkshakes and hamburgers). If guests would like to be "more formal," please bring along your best china and tea sandwiches, and dress in your Victorian attire! Be creative! Bring along table decorations, tea, tea pots, tea cups, and other enhancements! The tables, chairs and hot water/ice will be provided. Tables may be dedicated to the memory of special loved ones or dedicated to special cancer survivors. Survivors from each table may wish to model their attire from their chosen theme. Prizes will be awarded in various categories, not only for the tables, but for also for costumes, hats and teapots. There will be other prize-drawings, such as raffles, and winners' tickets picked from "the Magic Teapot!" Sponsorships for tables, and also corporate sponsorships, as well as other sponsorship levels, are available, and should be received no later than August 15. Seating is limited. Join us for an afternoon of fun, celebration and hope, to help make this Tea one of the most heartwarming events you will ever attend! E-mail us at Donna.Deekens@cancer.org or call (804) 527-3755 for more information. We are grateful for your support of your American Cancer Society!
