Turner Classic Movies Crime Scene Festivel 2008
Now in its seventh year, TCM Crime Scene Festival is the UK's only event devoted to exploring and celebrating the world's most popular fiction genre, encompassing, crime, thrillers, noir and mystery in all its forms.
Returning to BFI Southbank to launch this year's programme, we present the British premiere of a high-octane, kinetic and visceral chase thriller co-written by Luc Besson and directed by one of his long-time collaborators, Pierre Morel, here making his feature debut. Brian (Neeson) is an ex-CIA agent forced to use the full range of his old 'special skills' in a desperate chase across Paris to rescue his kidnapped daughter from a gang about to sell her into the sex-slave trade.
We hope to welcome director Pierre Morel and star Liam Neeson to introduce the film and to take part in an on-stage interview following the screening with Crime Scene director Adrian Wootton.
