EAST LANSING, Mich. – Seventeen year old Taylor Swift is a rising star in country music. Just last week she walked away from the 41st Annual CMA Awards in Nashville with one of the evening’s highest honors, the Horizon Award. The award recognizes “the artist who has for the first time demonstrated in the field of Country Music the most significant creative growth and development in overall chart and sales activity, live performance, professionalism and critical media recognition.” The day before winning the coveted award Swift’s deluxe edition CD was released. Now this teenage superstar is coming to Wharton Center for one night only, Thursday, January 31, 2008 as part of the Christman Live At State Concerts.
