An insightful tax planning seminar for contractors and freelancers will be held on September 9 in Reading.

The event is organised by financial planners Wealth Matters and will feature speakers from PCG 'the voice of freelancers', Crunch.co.uk - the online accountants accounting being hosted by PCG 'the voice of freelancing', financial planners Wealth Matters, online accountants Crunch.co.uk and financial economist's Dimensional.

The idea behind the evening is to provide freelancers and contractors with practical common sense business advice as well as taking an informed look at what the current economic climate has in store for them.

* PCG's Iain McIlwee will speak about current events and issues affecting contractors and freelancers.

* Wealth Matters' Julian Gilbert and Paul Cleworth will talk about tax planning including a review of the Coalition Budget, how this affects contractors and what you can do about it.

* Crunch.co.uk's Darren Fell and Steve Crouch (ex. HMRC Chartered Accountant) will also be discussing the budget together with providing simple tax saving strategies for contractors and explaining their unique on-line accountancy service.

* Dimensional's David Jones will be speaking about “logical investing” in today’s markets .

Please arrive at the hotel at 6.30pm. We will provide teas and coffees upon arrival. We are aiming to finish the formal part of the evening by 8.45pm. There will be an opportunity to converse with our speakers before and after the formal part of the evening.
