Nuyorican Author Jesus "Tato" Laviera and Rutgers University Professor Laura Lomas celebrate Latino writing in New York since the 1880s with the release of their new books: 'Abraham, Mixturao and Other Poems' (by Laviera, published by Arte Pu'blico Press, 2008) and 'Translating Empire: Jose' Marti', Migrant Latino Subjects and American Modernities' (by Lomas, published by Duke University Press, 2008).
