A local chef is challenged to create a culinary cover of a song written by an original artist to be savored by your ears and palate simultaneously.
On Thursday, April 14th, 7pm at La Spiga in Capitol Hill, Savor the Sound presents “Taste the Music,” a unique and innovative presentation of music as it appears on your plate. There will be interesting pairings of wines, musical outbursts and chef delights all along the way as you take this ‘tour de force’ of the blending senses… sounds delicious.
La Spiga’s chef extraordinaire Sabrina Tinsley joins Seattle stand-out musician Eric Fridrich to create original tastes and sound for an orchestrated collision of the senses. They are joined by musical guests Marc Fendel, Steve Kim, and Swil Kanim. They will serve up the complexities of urban jazz, the genius of Bach, seasoned with sultry blues and haunting violin finished with fine wines, classy cuisine, gourmet chocolates and beautiful people.
Along with the musical and food presentations, men’s clothing store ROAD will bring an exciting component of fashion into the mix. Styling experts will be featuring ensembles using the Taste the Music program as inspiration.
21+ Event. Tickets: $60 in advance. Price includes a 4-course meal, wine and show. You can purchase tickets on-line here.
A variety of prizes will be raffled at the event including a $250 gift certificate to Road Apparel, 4-pack of lessons at the Seattle Drum School, $100 gift certificate to La Spiga, and more.
