Taste of the Tropics May 9, 2009

New this year, exhibiting artists and vendors will coordinate display decorations with the event's tropical theme in hopes of being named "Best of the Tropics" Booth.

This fun-filled, FREE community event will offer visitors an opportunity to:
• Browse fine art, jewelry, pottery, and other handcrafted home décor, apparel and gift items, all selected for their tropical flare;
• Shop a one-of-a-kind marketplace featuring local merchants with swim and beach wear, flowers and plants, surf boards and other tropical accessories;
• Relax ... enjoy the tropical cuisine and refreshments of local food vendors; and
• Hear the popular island band "Jafire" with their special Caribbean sound, featuring steel drums, a sax, keyboard, guitar and vocals; at 3 pm, the "Ohana Arts Polynesian Revue" takes the stage with a troupe of wahine dancers and an authentic fire and knife performance.
The Riverwalk Events Plaza is located on the Intracoastal Waterway "under the bridge" at U.S. 1 and Indiantown Road in Jupiter. This unique covered venue provides a beautiful waterside location with shade from the sun and protection from showers. The Jupiter Riverwalk is a 2.5 mile recreational corridor that hugs the eastern shoreline of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Jupiter Inlet.
