MOJO and the Bayou Gypsies take the Bankhead Theater stage in a fun, high energy, authentic Southwest Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco tradition, as the live performance component for the new Taste of New Orleans celebration.
Guests will enjoy a pre-show welcome party featuring southern Louisiana cuisine samplings by Cabana Dave's Catering, followed by a post-performance reception that includes complimentary champagne, Chicory coffee, pralines and other popular NOLA desserts. This festive affair will take place at the Bankhead Theater in downtown Livermore from 6 to 10 p.m. As is tradition, we will have wine, beer and Hurricanes for purchase as well as souvenirs including masks, beads, and boas. All proceeds benefit the Bothwell Arts Center.
MOJO and the Bayou Gypsies are talented, joyful entertainers who immerse their audiences in the original Cajun and Zydeco dance beats of the Southwest Louisiana tradition. Their performances are simply electrifying from beginning to end, pulling audiences right onto their feet.
MOJO's boundless charisma and their infectiously happy music guarantees an unforgettable night of fun. It's no wonder MOJO and the Bayou Gypsies have spent 25 years "inducing wild behavior" with their engaging, explosive and exhausting entertainment power!
For those that are really adventurous, you can sit on the Bankhead stage with MOJO and the band to truly celebrate a little Mardi Gras in September! (Stage seating is limited and reserved by contacting the Ticket Office directly.)
